How can I apply for a course?
You can apply for the course by completing the online application form (http://www.trainingselect.co.uk/enrol). You will receive an acknowledgement receipt of your application by e-mail. A dedicated course advisor will contact you to discuss your course in detail and guide you through the enrolment process.
Alternatively, you can email using our ‘contact us’ form and request a call back to assist you.
How long the application process usually takes?
The application process may take up to two weeks depending on how quickly you provide the relevant documents.
The process is very simple
1) You fill in the application form and send us the electronic copies of the required documents
2) We process your application
3) Offer you the place in your chosen course
4) Send you all course details including Moodle logins
Will I be interviewed?
An interview maybe necessary for some applicants that require additional evidence of suitability for the chosen programme of study
When can I start the course?
You can enrol at any time. Your start date will be the day you start your induction and registered onto Moodle.

How does distance learning work?
Distance learning put simply, is a method of learning that is 100% online. You can choose how and when you study and all classroom activities and assignment submissions are completed using our innovative virtual classroom environment.
Do I get deadline dates for the assessments to be completed?
Yes. The nature of distance learning means that you learn independently without the support of classroom tutorials and by giving you deadlines it helps you to keep focussed and engaged.
What do I do if I’m struggling with my course?
Your personal tutor is your first point of contact for any academic issues. Your personal tutor will be able to help you with your individual learning plan and offer additional support if required.
How many hours do I need to study per week?
We suggest you spend a minimum of 10 to 15 hours per week studying. The number of hours required each week can vary throughout your module, for example, if you’re preparing an assignment, the number of hours required in that week may be higher than other weeks
How many modules can I take?
You must enrol for a minimum of 3 modules/units or a maximum of 6.
What happens if my circumstances change during my studies?
If your personal situation changes during your studies, we will work with you to make the necessary adjustments to your course load. Training Select’s courses are different to traditional degree courses, enabling us to approach our courses with more flexibility.
Will my certificate say distance learning?
There is no mention of online or distance learning on the certificate.

Do I need a computer?
Yes, you will need regular access to a computer with an internet connection. However, you can access your study materials, lecturers and other learning activities on laptop, iPad and mobile device as well. Please note that for writing up your assignments, you will need a laptop or a desktop computer.
What learning platform do you use?
Training Select uses Moodle which is an online facility designed to enhance your learning experience and help you through studies. You will find a detailed explanation of the key functions of Moodle and how to use them during your induction.
Moodle is our principal way of communicating with students on the programme so it will be essential that you visit Moodle on a regular basis.
How will I contact my personal tutor?
You can contact your dedicated personal tutor via email and Moodle.
Can I access my study material and lectures on a tablet or a mobile?
Yes, you can access your study materials and lecturers on desktop, laptop and mobile device.
How can I update my personal details?
You can change your personal details through the student e-platform.

Assignments & Assessment
How will I be assessed?
There are no exams.
You will submit a final assignment/coursework for each module/unit. The detail of the coursework/assignment brief will be available to you once you are enrolled on the course.
Will I be supported to write my assignments?
Yes, your personal tutor will be available through Moodle. You will be supported and guided through our e-learning platform.
Your personal tutor to make sure that you are on the right track will provide you formative feedback on your work.
What are the progression opportunities available after the completion of the course?
There are number of opportunities available and are displayed in the course information.
What is ATHE?
ATHE stands for Awards for Training and Higher Education, which is one of the UK’s leading awarding bodies. ATHE provides centres like Training Select with a wide variety of qualifications including, but not limited to; administration management, business, tourism, law, computing and health and social care.
All our programmes are accredited by awarding body ATHE.
Are all qualifications recognised and approved?
Yes, all our programmes are approved by Ofqual.

What does Level 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 diplomas mean?
Level 3 Diploma (120 credits worth) is equivalent to A Levels
Level 4 Diploma (120 credits worth) is equivalent to 1st year of Bachelors degree
Level 5 Diploma (120 credits worth) is equivalent to 2nd year of Bachelors degree
Level 6 Diploma (120 credits worth) is equivalent to a Bachelors degree
Level 7 Diploma (120 credits worth) is equivalent to a masters degree or postgraduate
How will I be assured that you have received the payment?
We will send you a confirmation email once we received the payment.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes, you can pay in two equal instalments.
Can I transfer directly to your bank account?
Yes, you can. Bank details are available on the fee page under the payment tab.
What other mode of payments are available?
You can pay via online banking or standing order
What is a referral scheme?
The Referral scheme is an opportunity for you to get an extra discount for your course fees. If you refer your friend you will be entitled to a 10% discount on your tuition fee.
If you have paid the full fee for your course, then we will refund you 10% of tuition fee.
